Aek; Bates is a true king, all in one. Funny that others on that wall have gone so hard in the paint, but the eye still draws straight to BATES.
Had to dust off his On the Run and reminisce his 90's gold!! While rummaging I also found something else you might like. Pm me your postal address, i've got a present for you.
It might be a bit stale by the time it gets there.

Very nice indeed. I think I'd still rate the Double (PA) over it, but only just.

Tripel's are pretty hardcore, I'd definitely call the double a more drinkable beer.

Might have something to do with the styles? Belgian (Tripel) vs Pale (Double) but I thought the double was more a more intense beer. Also had an extra 3% on the Tripel (T 8.5%, D 11.5%)Tripel's are pretty hardcore, I'd definitely call the double a more drinkable beer.
By "drinkable" do you mean better flavour or would be able to drink more?

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!!
