Oh, big news..

My lil man starts School on Monday.. First day, what a champ.. going to be hooking me up with the single mums fo shiz haha.
In all seriousness though.. has been a mammoth effort to find him a school.
he's a lil bit advanced as to what normal kids are like at his age, was assessed and advised he should go to a school that includes an advanced learning curriculum.
but finding something like that around these parts which is not (not being racist here) Asian influenced was tough.. almost all the schools that cater for this kind of thing think if your kids smart you want to push them and force extra study on them.

Sorry but that's not what i want my kids to remember though school.. FFS they're 5yo's School should be about Having Fun, Eating Fritz (one for you tom)and dunkaroos and learning the ropes in the first year.
Not one of the "Super schools" put much importance on creativity or individuality.. just want to churn out walking calculators.

By all means exercise his brain and keep him challenged but don't take all the good attributes of school away.

means nothing to me, most important part was getting to talk to the principles and teachers.

Yeah i hated all my schools in WA i seriously cant even remember much of school other than **** uniforms.. blitzing everyone at the sports carnivals.
Adelaide was pretty good with school... FRITZ YEAHHHH lol and the technical Subjects are loads better than here in VIC such as Maths, Physics, Tech Drawing.. swapped to VIC in yr 11.. barely finished year 12, such a load of crap.. my Year 11 in SA was not accepted here, well Maths, Physics and Tech Drawing.. What's that lol Had to re-sit Yr 11.. worst year of my life!

As for the whole new My Schools crap... the site is too fkn confusing now.. and who gives a **** about the financial side of things? i don't need to know about every bloody aspect of the schools income.. its such a stupid waste of money the whole set-up.
Nothing is as good as getting out and talking to the schools themselves..
