Check out positivity pete over here.

I am having boost withdrawals. Exacerbated by the fact that powercruise was on over the weekend, and my car is as sick as Auburn McDonald's finest.

Tom, RE: your engine bay... why is your Pod not shielded or anything?
Wouldn't you be sucking up hot air from the engine bay?

That was an old photo. It's my 'winter' set-up where the intake air temp makes fark all difference.

Most of the time I just run the standard panel filter set-up, like now.

Tell me how it goes! I want to run a pod filter in my engine bay but i'm guessing stock gen3 air intake scoop at the front of the car does a good enough job?

From what I understand, a good quality panel filter will do just as good a job as a pod setup. On an N/A - you may notice better results by just doing this instead of changing the whole setup to pod style.

Pods are good if you need large volumes of air quickly. I would imagine if you are running a large turbo setup (bigger than anything subaru has ever offered stock) it would improve throttle response due to the shorter distance the air travels etc.

Awesome. I'm actually thinking of getting rid of the ressy that's in the engine bay too and just bypassing it completely straight to the airbox? Seems like a common mod to do, it won't make much a difference in performance but I really just like doing mods like this for the fun of it!

I was only joking about the land cruiser thingy.

You should do the in guard CAI man.

Mines going to come straight out of the turbo compressor, chuck a right, then go deep into the guard, with a pod. I would normally do a CAI panel filter setup, but it's easier to do the guard thing.
