I've recently been in contact with Sydney Transport (The government bus system in sydney) trying to flog some anti graffiti window film for their whole bus network.

I've finally found the right person, and they are going to submit my business proposal to the right people.

FUCKENOMGWTF!

Its around $2500 per bus, will take about 6 hours to do a whole bus, and cost me about $800 in film (Anti-Graffiti film is bloody expensive), per bus.
Considering there is about 2163 buses in service (As of July 2010), that equates to a business profit margin of around $5,407,500, less expenses of around $1,727,400 in film and tool expenses.

By doing 1 bus a weekend, it would take me 41 years to do their entire fleet.

I think i need to employ someone and/or quit my job at the bank.

Because they are tightasses.

I submitted a proposal ages ago, for a lot more per bus, as i figured it would cost me more, but due to the economic downturn, and graffiti film not being marketted correctly, the actualy film price has dropped quite significantly, which makes my proposal alot more attractive to them now.

And consider i worked out it costs the State Transit a SHITLOAD more then $2500 per bus to replace/repair the glass once graffiti is scratched into the glass, and the fact that the graffiti film is 4 layers (Which means it can be graff'd 4 times before it needs to be replaced (You basically strip a layer off everytime it gets done)) it will cost them less, over a 40 year period, but about $1400 per bus.

Hoepfully, they accept.

If they do, i will shout a SubyClub 3 day bender.

The new ones have privacy glass Morgs, but not actual tinting.

But its not so much the tinting i'm focusing on, its mainly the cost to the Government to repair graffiti damaged windows.

Although, i did also put a spiel in there about the greenhouse gas advantages of having the buses tinted too

Less Heat on Glass = Less Aircondition to cool bus = Less fuel consumption = better greenhouse emissions.

Need to try and figure out the specifics to focus more on that though.

Anyone have a MAN or Volvo bus, similar to state transit i can run a few emission/heat tests on?
