i often toy with the idea of selling teh soob and buying one of these:

pity manual diesels are uber-rare.....(lucky for the soob!)

We have the newer shape delica. auto turbo diesel, used to be as shit as too drive, then dad got the LPG conversion, what a difference it made!! i was shocked. it's by no means 'fast' but the improvement the LPG conversion made, made the car actually nice to drive. even when i trailered the ghetto wagon it still went better then before it had the LPG conversion.

getting cheap now days too, but as you said manuals are hard to find :)

lol get it alot... its diesel.

it runs LPG and diesel at the same time, so the diesel mixture gets leaned down, or backed off..

AFAIK the diesel fuelling remains untouched. Extra grunt comes from a small amount of added LPG. This means you need less throttle for the same power thus saving fuel.
Also some conversions use CNG compressed natual gas.
I think we will be seeing more of this kind of thing.

yeah my brother had this done.. but he is having shocking economy with it still, i think he used like less than a qart of a tank of gas to a full tank of Diesel, but apparently they adjust mixtures slowly over the next few months, too much too soon and it can do damage.

it also works better with turbo charged diesel's

Wow!

Learn something every day!

BTW, I just watched episode one of the new UK Top Gear. Glad to have them back!

So, Michael Schumacher was revealed to be The Stig. I believed it to be a setup from the get go. My theory was further proven at the very end of the show, they showed The "Michael Schumacher" Stig driving their resonably priced car. Very badly. Clarkson then announces that hte thinks that Schumacher is not the Stig.

I'm confused. I'm sure that Collins was announced to be the Stig a few months ago???

Anyone else have any ideas?

Have a look at how he holds himself compaired to the person they normally trot out for "apperances". Nothing alike. I still think its multiple people - whoever is free at the time to mix it up a bit

Stuff goes here

im pretty sure collins was the old stig, the one that died driving off the carrier, thus they got a new stig.

now as for Schumacher being stig, im undecided, yes clarkson's comments at the end and the liana driving pose a question but then again Schumacher did have a bit of knowledge on the show such as talking about when they drove on the ice drunk, maybe he is only sometimes the stig as suggested but going through the last season recently the stig always appears to be the same build.

How funny will it be if after all this Capt Slow turns out to be the real stig :P

Yeah, but anyone that watched the polar challenge would know about that.

It would be kinda funny if James was the stig....

oh okay im not 100% sure about how it works, i've just heard of people thats how it worked. but yes good system and something i'd definatly do if i had a diesel

yeah my brother had this done.. but he is having shocking economy with it still, i think he used like less than a qart of a tank of gas to a full tank of Diesel, but apparently they adjust mixtures slowly over the next few months, too much too soon and it can do damage.

With 320nm from 1500rpm and around 1000 k's to a tank, I don't think that it would really be necessary.

HA!

The 3.0 H6 is being deleted. IIRC, it's going to be a 3.6 with close to 200kw and 350nm.
