the new models are just starting to come out, all the 6 series are now led, the base 40d6000 will be about $1500? we just got the top of the range 40d6600 @ $2099, ill be buying that as soon as the price drops a little

new ones are 3D (woo!) usb playback/recording (old ones didnt record) slimmer design boreder, depending on the model there is full web browsing, otherwise you have apps and stuff. internet radio and a few other things i have not yet checked out.

if you can find a 40c6000 for under 1k snap it up, other wise you might be thinking of just the lcd 40c650, they were under 1k and actually a better picture than the led's.

How are you finding the Pana Alex? I think the picture is amazing on them, since they bought the rights to the pioneer Kuro technology and have the technicians on the team, Panasonic is now the benchmark for plasma technology, and of course, the VT series are all Japanese manufactured.

54. I love it. The glasses are a bit exxy, but aren't they all..you get a free pair with the tv anyway.

I got the tv from harvey moron the day AFTER they did the price drop. Ended up getting around $1800 off the previous day's sticker price and a 5year warranty thrown in.

Joshwaaa saw it, even his terrible eyes thought it was a good picture.

How many Hz do you need for 3D?

good price to score that, we have the 58 set up at work with the 3d running, does my head in after a while, would be keen to see what it is like in a dark room.
