Where you taking the lucky lady?
Braza?
Driving a manual is one thing but the type of car is a completely different story
Katie learnt to drive manual (AWESOME) ...in a Daewoo (AH CRAP).
Then she sold it (WOOHOOO) ...and bought an Excel (AH CRAP).
Then she sold it (WOOHOOO) ...and bought and auto Civic (AH CRAP).
That blew up on her so her dad put in a new engine and then she sold it (WOOHOO) ...and bought another Excel (AH CRAP).
Then she sold it (WOOHOOO) ...and bought a Mazda SP20 (MY GOSH FINALLY SHES GOT SOMETHING DECENT!!!)
Then she rolled it (AH CRAP)
...so what does your lady friend drive?!

This says to me, buy a cheap car - get a cheap car.
I've had 3 cars in 10 years of driving. She's had 4.5 (.5 for rebuild) in what, 3-4 years?
Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

5.5 cars including the donor Civic.
Hopefully another will be added this weekend
7 years of driving, she's nearly 23...
She had the second Excel for 3 years and would've had the SP20 for longer if she had the chance!
Including the SP20, I've had 4 cars (Barina, Libery, Outback, SP20) in 4 years of driving.
You just hold onto cars for too long

Later she bought a Torana.
Then she rebuilt said Torana.
Then she bought another Torana....and another.....and another....and another....
Then she rebuilt another Torana.
When I met her she had five......Toranas.
(I had three cars and two motor bikes when we met.)
Initially I failed to see the attraction to Toranas but I have been somewhat 'converted'.
She still loves cars, which is huge attraction to me, and doesn't mind too much when I fiddle with her Subaru.
She gets it.
WIN!

We had half a dozen Commodores when I was growing up. Bought between 12-24 months old, kept for 2 years, sold and upgraded to newer model.
Then mum had some hip problems so we bought the RX330 because of the height. That was in 06 I think and we've still got it. We used to do soo many kms though but since us kids now have licence's it's not as bad.
My cousin bought his first car (01 Camry) in Jan. Sold it in Feb and made a profit.
Bought his second car (04 Corolla) last month. Will probably keep it a few more months and then sell for a profit. Won't be hard because he got it for an absolute steal!
He want's a Suby next
My uncle sold his VE Calais V and bought a VW Jetta. Kept it for 2 months. Felt like it had some transmission problems so he sold it for a profit and bought a 3L H6 Gen4 Outback. He loves it

Torana.

Torana
Torana.
Toranas.
WIN!
Haha love it!
Sounds a little like my father in law. They had multitudes of cars around the house. Old holdens, Minis, Sprites, utes, motos, etc.
He picked up his first car (FC) for $60 and a second one for $80 for spare parts.
People would pretty much pay them to take their Mini's away they were so cheap!
Engine swaps, rebuilds, spray painting, all sorts of mods on all these cars.
Wish it wasn't so expensive to buy cars, transfer rego, insurance, etc these days
