Not at work though!
Yay
Story about the Gen4 -
Well, it was great - from a distance!!!
Turns out it was the 2.5L but they had no idea! Full climate control, airbags, foggies, working sunroof, 17" 5 spoke alloys, MOMO gear knob, etc.
It was surprisingly zippy too. I believe I have the same engine in my Outback (open for correction) but the extra weight in my Gen3 really adds up! When I can afford it, I will definitely upgrade to a Gen4
Unfortunately, because the car was on sale (down from $12,999 to $10,990), they would not budge in price. My budget was $10k and I'm sticking to it! Lol!
From a simple inspection, here is what I noticed:
Exterior -
-Massive scratch (reaching the white undercoat) on the front passenger door.
-Bulge in the rear bumper. Looks like they've hit something but it hasn't cracked the paint ...yet!
-Grille finish was worn. Ebay has alot of second hand grilles atm but I wasn't expecting to do this to a 5 year old car!
-Front bar needed a respray. RH corner was splattered with stone chips. Don't know how the previous owner achieved that?
-RHS of front bar was popped out of it's clips. Perhaps they ran into something spikey and thats how the previous point was acheived?!
-Tyres needed replacing fairly soon
-Various scraches and grazes around the body - more than expected for it's age
Interior -
-Centre console lid was absolutely rooted and doesn't sit properly.
-Rear cup holder hinge was snapped
-MOMO gear knob was filthy, worn and peeling
-Steering wheel was worn
-187k kms (was told 180k but I see 187 as 190!)
-Trim parts were becoming unclipped
-Tinting on rear windscreen was completely blue!
Other -
-Rego is due in less than a month
-Needed an oil change (at least)
-It had the owners manual and a few recepits but no log books
Sure, I may be picky with my cars, but how does a 5 year old car get this damaged?!
It seemed to drive really well but with all the money I would have to put into it, I decided not to take this risk...

Trashed the vlan (still separate subnets for storage) and reinitialized everything and good as new.
Don't you hate that?
Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I hate it when my vlans don't work. Also... my edited version makes just as much sense.Something something something vlan something, bunch of technical shiz failed because the submarine got a net stuck in its props.
Don't you hate that?
Morgan - that car sounds like a shitter.
Also.... This loopy nutjob nailed herself to the cross for easter! Seriously!!! what a fruit.

Should fix that without any anaesthetic. See how she likes it then.
Morning.

I get the whole wanting to show respect and act it out thing... but I think that going the whole hog and using nails is extreme.
How was your Easter Alex?

Did anybody see or hear anything about a guy out camping who got hit in the face by a potato cannon?

Damn. All that work for a busted vlan on the storage network. Damn you netgear, damn you. Dead LUN path that reconnected itself even after rebooting both storage processors and the hosts.
Trashed the vlan (still separate subnets for storage) and reinitialized everything and good as new.
Don't you hate that?
Is that like when the turbine encabulator valve free ports and prevents the offset nebulating orifice from venting atmosphere?
I hate it when THAT happens.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Funny you say that, Jase.
That vegetable has made him..... a vegetable.
We were pulling out chunks of potato from his frontal lobe.
Don't play with potato guns, kids.
Exactly what I was referring to him as.

you're a maniac!!!
this thing literally fractured the bones in his face, and took out his eye.
in fact, there were no recognisable parts of his right eye.
it was all charcoaled smoosh.
Nik is right. We've all done silly sh1t.
(like check fuel pumps with the battery...)
Time's like this, we need to be thankful we're still healthy and able, and try not to be as silly in the future!
In other news, I've been hankering for a cafe racer, despite promising my now late father, I'd never ride a bike.

then we had two motorcycle traumas come in over the weekend.
don't want a motorbike anymore...
