i know from experiences at work, that people who follow the Islamic faith, even loosely, are very strict about burial protocol.

It is considered an insult in the highest regard if this isn't adhered to.





I've had the unfortunate experience in this.

Long story short: We amputated a muslim man's arm.

We followed our normal protocols with cytotoxic tissue disposal (basically it gets incinerated...)

Apparently, limbs get buried with them. They chuck it in a coffin, bury it, awaiting for when the man actually dies, the arm will be waiting for him, so that he is buried complete.

Facing Mecca, etc etc etc.


Family went postal. By fluke of incompetence of Hospital waste disposal staff, we managed to get the limb back to the family for burial.
The fact that they allegedly cremated Bin Laden, is a massive insult.

But USA wouldn't insult anybody, would they? I mean, they're fighting for freedom, yeah?
