BTW does anyone know if you can buy rotors that dont rust?? I hate how easily they get rusty! Black paint - Rust - Black paint - Rust - Black paint - Rust (as in the hub part and where the vents are)

Carbon-ceramic won't rust :)



haha i love how on some cars the carbon-ceramic brake kits are like 30 grand optional extra's

mine don't rust, except for the actual surface face. never had a car that it done it to, after painting.

Maybe i just fail at painting, on my old car i painted them and then i week later all the hub paint burnt off, and it was ment to be heat proof!

hahaha yeah, I have seen it as a $60 grand option too! on a Bentley

you are using brake caliper paint? (not heatproof paint) ?

Try using engine enamel then bake it in the oven to cure it. I've used this on brake master cylinders and wheels and once cured, is almost bulletproof. Resistant to brake fluid and most thinners. As B4TT said, clean off rust first. I use a wire cup on a angle grinder but a wire wheel on a drill would work just as well. Cheers J
