Im at a loss lads, do i want a 15w-40 semi syn for a ej257 with forged internals, its coming up to summer in brisbane and it certainly gets hot. some threads on rexnet (god forbid there is a lot of crap on that site, but some gold if you sift through it) suggest even as high as a 50 viscosity rating. I suppose even a 10w-40 should cut the mustard just fine.. But im a fussy bastard. any helpful suggestions?

U want full synthetic. 5w-40, if your concerned bout temp go for 10w-50.

the first number is the oils cold viscosity. the second being when its at op. temp.

the 5w will flow better on start up.
