Yeah I watched for the first time last night also.Hi guys,
Did anyone watch the new Highway Patrol series on Channel 7 last night? I think it debuted the week before but I missed that, and watched the episode last night.
I found it funny, there was this women who was caught red handed using her mobile phone whilst driving and got pulled over by an undercover, and the whole time shes denying it like no end. How can you deny that you were on your mobile phone?! Haha...
Anyway, I like this new series! Looks oright.
I didnt agree with what the cop said about the 22yo girl clocked at 151kph in a BMW.
I agree that what she did was stupid but she claims she had no idea how fast she was going. The cop indicated to the camera that she must have known how fast she was going as 'the engine would have been revving it's brains out'. I think the cop needs to drive a BMW to realise how these cars handle this kind of speed.
One thing for sure, I wouldn't be getting in a car with someone who 'has no idea' at 151kph!
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Its surprising to me that a highway patrol officer of all people doesn't appear to know much about cars. A Bimmer won't be "revving its brains out", nor will his Holden V8 at 150km/h. Cars these days tend to isolate you from the sensation of speed I find.
Nevertheless, the woman can't use that excuse. Shes responsible for it so yeh, do the crime, do the time I guess.

Absolutely. Is this making the cars safer??Cars these days tend to isolate you from the sensation of speed I find.
Probably why I never got booked for speeding in my Gemini

LOL, you'd get a kick out of doing 60km/h in that thingAbsolutely. Is this making the cars safer??

Luckily cars are exponentially safer and that makes up for the 'extra speed' people tend to do these days (ie; accelerating faster off the lights).

Exponentially safer? I DISAGREE!
Definitely not exponentially.
Cars are designed to crumple these days, and are made from much more inferior materials.
It does have its advantages for safety, but also has its disadvantages.

Haha. It actually went well. 1850cc, ported, O ringed, webber, zorst, etc. Used to pull 7500rpm every day and went to over 8000rpm. Could do more than 180kph but yeah, 60kph felt like 80kph.

Agreed.

the only way they look better is with a huffer or two under the bonnet. They do look better though!

its like a guy with a pair of socks stuffed down is jocks.
looking all tough and manly.
get the girlies excited.
but when it comes to crunch time, all they reveal is their inadequacies!
why advertise yourself as something you're clearly not?
