WANT

MOAR

LANCER!!

nik, i'm a diehard oldschool lancer fan.

my dad had two LA lancers. The first of the lancers. RWD goodness. They came out and absolutely obliterated the rally scene back in the early 70's.

You surprise me with intelligence every now and then, Alex. I must definitely agree with you. Mid to late seventees Japanese cars are very sexy to me. I would love something of that era, in complete original condition. Finding anything that isn't completely rusted through (my '78 Subie is pretty much swiss cheese!) is just so hard. And if the 'right' one does come up, it's usually interstate and not really worth the extra 1200 to bring it here, rego, etc. etc. I'm looking at XT6 Vortex Subaru, but the same problem remains, very few delivered to Aus, and most are non turbo straight Vortex's the XT6 seems quite rare. That 993 Gt2 is actually a purpose built drift car, I am trying to find footage. Ass tweaker for sure.

Rob, welcome back - ain't seen your head on here in a few days! Nik - You checked out Forza 3? I honestly don't think GT5 is going to be able to compare to it. Yes, I am an ex-playstation / Gran Turismo fan boy.

Early Corona MKII.....cool indeed! I learnt to drive in mum's '76 Corona MKII, but by then they were considerably larger with the mighty 2.6l 4M 6cly engine. I once wound it out, and I mean WOUND out to a blistering 160kmh. Remember kiddies......speeding is foolish and dangerous.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

oh frick! an early shovel nose corona 2 door! Impressive! Pillarless coupe? WTF? Awesome! Right there! In original condish! Makes me wanna hurry up and finish restoring my '74 TA22 Celica!! (if only I can stop spending cash on the suby!) Very nice mr squishy. I made that same mistake over five years ago to a friend who was the third owner of the celica I now own. I told her, that if she ever wanted to sell it, to ring me. Xmas '08, and I was holding the keys... :)
