Ok, so I need a car for work. Needs a decent boot (carrying computers/servers/monitors etc) and decent on fuel. I'm thinking Forester. Thoughts? Redbook says $10-12k for a '03/'04. Sound about right? I'm open to suggestions on other model's/make's. Doing around 200-300k's a week max.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

as a work car i would suggest some kinda commo wagon... running costs are less and there is a decent amount of room.. seems to be enough room for me when ever i take the work car out onsite and when i was contracting for Westpac. Subaru services are a bit pricey to use it for work imo

Commodore/Falcon. For sure. Although those are no K's at all - why not use the beefour? Actually, Lancer wagon, Camry wagon, probably better than a Ford or Holden!

I thought you bitches would talk me into a Forester. I was wrong. It might also involve some weekend 'soft-roading'.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Also, that Subaru would be so full of rust. Unless it is from somewhere with ridonkulously low rainfall. :/

ams i used to have three sedans they were bulletproof. ac/ps/auto used to drive over median strips, and she loved it. drove it offroad for 250+ kms and she loved it. cheap decent transport. and 80s styling is coming back in vogue.
