Nice work with the cruise guys. Yet another who wants a two door sti! Tom, you gotta leave those wheels just as they are. Looks stunning with the silver (and no dent)!

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

I had the first real incident with the 5-0 on Saturday night. Have never been pulled over before but had an unmarked commodore with plain clothes cops pull Aek and I over as we were driving to a friends place. We both were behaving and the boys simply wanted to know what we were up to and that was it - no breath test, no vehicle inspections. They told us we should expect to be pulled over on a Saturday night with cars like ours! Surprising!

Just curious, Does getting straight cut gears make your gearbox pretty much bullet proof/launch proof? What fails next? Transmission mounts? Drive shafts?

It's not "bulletproof" per se, Just lest prone to breakage. And yes, the damage will travel further up the chain. Driveshafts/rear diff (if its VLSD) become the next weakest links. What's on your mind Tom?

The gearbox seems to be the B4's weakest point, might need to upgrade one day, definately not in the near future though. :sarcastic:
I do like the noise from the straight cuts, but i'm not sure i could stand it on a daily basis.

Next on the car will be dent removal (all over the car)
and Front respray when i get back from QLD :)

Gearbox should be fine as long as you're not a silly bugger.

Yeah your right :)

I need some rotors like yours Alex, imo they look much better than the "slotted rotors"

How much did the DBA 4000's set you back?

Sorry Tom I don't quite remember. It's been over a year ago... I have figures written down somewhere. But remember, mine would have been somewhat more expensive than what it would be for a 294mm... Don't go cross drilled. work of satan. they crack! But a worthwhile upgrade if you're going to use a different pad. Hot tip: Don't change rotor/pads together if you can. Change the pads. Then the discs. Or vice versa. A tip a mechanic taught me. Better bedding in.

ahhh i see, good tip,

i think my rotors need changing first, definately do that soon,

i just like the look of the DBA's more of a random pattern rather than something like this:
