You have about 2 weeks after due date to renew. If that has lapsed you will have to take the car over the pits to re-reg, much more costly exercise in time and money. Back home in Perth. Chill. Went to the opening of the NBridge piazza last night, pretty cool. Dudes on a boat making noise with flames... s'OK. 2 days till Movember crew!

Hypothetically speaking here,

If i was to "forget" to "renew" my car registration for "maybe" a couple of days past the due by date, what happens then?

Can i then renew it normally or is there then a renewal fee plus another fee?

Of course in this "period" of "time" i would not drive my car

I paid my rego late by 2 days.. no issue.

i also let my gen1 sit with no rego for 2 weeks as i had no money when i was out of work and then just paid by Bpay and all was good, never heard a thing from them.. in SA its stupid, you can just re-register your car upto 5 years later without even doing road worth :o after 5 years you need road worthy though..

SA is sweet on that and some other things. Really cool if you're doing up a retro car. Mmm. I'm getting the itch for a retrocar right now. I have been buying RetroCar Magazine - awesome little publication. Highly recommend.

Yeah, they dont really care about car mods, unless its really over the top!

My mate at work's building a Custom '33 Ford Coupe with an 8.2L Chev engine and apparently it's really easy to get it registered!

Thought you'd be all over this 'ere

I know a couple people involved, so went from airport straight there. Was cool. Also peeped that Ezra Pound bar - nothing on tap killed it for me, but a nice little trendy spot.

I still dont get how B4's are affected by warm weather,
Last night when i was driving home from work it was 34 degrees and the primary boosted like it was a 10 degree morning even after a bit of hit soak in peak hour (didn't boost on the secondary) i guess i'll have to wait for the 40+ days and see how it goes then

its not good for the car. your pushing hot air into your motor... your car will always boost but its as safe!

That's why i'm not using my secondary when it's warm (it's hard not to use the primary though)
