You've had a TT for much longer than me, So you have more Aidz.
Nothing's gone wrong with my TT engine yet, Knock on wood.

Looks like there is a graze on the left rear corner but that = price drop! haha!
Pics look like they're taken from auction place or similar? Whatddya rekon? Might have to drive a few local 99 Outbacks and see what happens
Jetstar $39 one way tickets to Melbourne!!! Pick up car. Cruise home = WIN
You may want to get one of the local mexicans to suss it out for you before you jetstar your butt down south!

What do you guys think about something like this for my next car?
I never liked this revision (prefer D-E / 02-03) but all things considered, it looks like an awesome deal!
Note: See price vs kms.

Looks nice mate! Hard to say where it's for sale. The seller has listed it as a private sale, but those photos would indicate that he's a dealer acting as a private seller.
BUT... Given the condition of the car and the mention of using the snow chains once, he may be a legit private seller who has enough pride of vehicle to take some nice piccies.

You make good sense.
If anyone is in the area and wants to test it out for me let me know

If you're dead keen on it, give the guy a call and sus it out a bit. If from there you want to proceed, let hi know that you'll have a local proxy take a look at it.
Let me know from there and I'll see what I can figure out. I'm sure there's enough Melbourne heads on here that we can look at it if required.

Definately looks like a great deal on the face of it and a very sensible buy but I'm not totally feeling it...What do you guys think about something like this for my next car?

Wouldn't you like to slap on some nice rims (like the ones you have) and make a few other subtle mods to your car if you got it?
An RX/Heritage of the same generation and of similar kms would be better suited to that. Plus it comes standard with OK suspension unlike the Outback which would roll a hell of a lot and I'd presume you would like something fun for cruises etc.
On an slighty related topic - I very very very nearly purchased a white, fully loaded '99 Heritage about 3-yrs ago when I was looking for my car. It had less than 100K on the clock and came with a 1-year dealer warranty and the price was low for the time ($13999). I wonder what life would've been like as a gen3 owner...

Makes it a purposeful vehicle to enjoy the great outdoors.
Which is exactly what I'm after.
But I'll be going to whole hog after my Subaru.

I need to slow down. A turbo diesel 4 or 5 cylinder should do the trick
