How was everyones weekend?
I spend all Sat looking for new cars for my sister after she wrote off her last one on Friday.
Why are all cars in Syd repairable write offs, owned by dodgy ethnics, and just dodgy all round?!
Still on the hunt.

Because its a way of making a quick buck I'm afraid.Morning all.

Good morning.
Basically, there's many backyard panel beaters around the place, and without sounding racist, they can be attributed to a handful of ethnic backgrounds.
When looking for cars now, I avoid particular suburbs where cars are advertised being from.
A good friend of mine and I conducted a little "social experiment" not long ago when we were looking or a ~$5K hatchback runabout for him.
We decided to go and see these cars.
We saw general trends.
advertised:
cars are usually around the 113k km mark
cars are usually non accident
cars usually are in "excellent condition"
on closer inspection:
cars have had their speedos wounds back to 113k km (like an unspoken code of winding back speedos....it was uncanny!)
cars are repairable write offs that have been to 'nam and back
cars are usually still smelling like the solvents they've been painted with. Literally, the paint hadn't even dried yet.
When challenged, the sellers, who most times have others cars on their property with either damage on them or covered in tarps, get awfully defensive, and lie through their
teeth about these cars and their condition.
A couple of times, after showing the guy that his car had a replacement gearbox with wrecker's pink texta markings on it, despite denying so, and that there was overspray and strong
solvent smells despite the car being never been resprayed, I've been kicked off properties.
Fun
