Painted my calipers\rotors today, all are now non-ninja spec bleckness (ninja's would prefer Matt to Gloss).... and I have a farkin sore back!! Oh well, could be worse, could have no back

*SIGHS* More tyre woes today... After talking to the tyre joint yesterday and being informed they were getting delivered in the afternoon so should be good to go on TODAY. i rocked up in my lunch, out comes the manager... Him: "Mate i got bad news, we cant get the tyres till end of the month" Me: "WHAT! I need tyres NOW! if i get pulled over with this im fugged let alone the fact its dangerous!" Him: "yeah i know there fugged" Me: "No SH!T!, you better put some tyres on in the mean time then" Him: *blank stare* Me: "Well come one what have you got? i need something" a minute later he comes out from the back, "I got a pair of to fit but they are 205 45 16" Me: "no no no, i need 4 mate, a month of driving around with 2 different rolling diameters is going to fk my centre diff" .... Him: "ok i got 4 Michelin PP2's" Me: "Good, put them on ill see you in a month" so now im rolling on some fairly decent tyres actually, too bad they are the wrong size

but i think i got better acceleration lol I would have recommended them until now but after this.. Don't use Jax in Caulfield... uber PITA

Although I can sympathise, it's not exactly the tyre joint's fault. A lot of it comes down to the tyre reps, and their availability. Sounds like your tyre dude got dicked by the Toyo rep.

man ive had tyres with different wear levels on mine since I had it and my centre diff is fine.. if different rolling diameters (by the few mm it might be) would kill a centre diff then so would turning a corner when each of the wheels can potentially have a different rotating speed, the outers will be rotating faster then the inners etc, this would be more of a rotational difference then 1mm of tread and would cause more destruction to the diff... that is if the factory diffs were not produced to tolerate slight rotational differences as they are.

AAMI Insurance FTW!!!

Just got my renewal.... $80 cheaper than I was quoted by Shannon's yest and the agreed value was $1800 higher with AAMI , only thing is I hadn't "informed" them of any "mods" . So I rang them, told them the mods, got another 1600 added to the AV (AV now 21.4g as opposed to 18g with Shannons)....with no change to the premium !!
