Anyone know what the (!) warning light on a Gen1 is for? missus called me 10 mins ago saying the car has that light on and wont turn off, talked her though CEL light shit to see if anything is new but nothing new, just same old codes cause i have not cleared them lol. anyway she wont come past work so i can look at it, i got her to check brake fluid and its not that again.. any other ideas?

PM Richo, see if he is near his RS so he can look through the Manual. That light isn't on the Gen 2 or 3.

Car is at Dougs workshop still, fairly sure the manual is too.. will check in a tick. I want to say park break.... The only warning lights I have ever had was for the anti-lock .. but that litteralyl says "antilock breaking system" (PS, ABS in the gen1 does not like stopping in mud. it gets all confused hehe)

Same as in the B4, doesn't stop at all on grass/mud!

in the hand book auto cars.. its on the right hand side, middle light warning area - Brake fluid level warning light if its above the fuel guage, its in the same sport as teh abs indicator, but its not labled in the booklet, however seems to only be for abs operation

It is working but not quite as smoothly as i'd like it to. Hopefully should be good to go by the end of the month. I'll keep ya posted!!

Thanks for that Morgs, exactly what i was looking for... the gen1 doesnt have ABS but as i suspected the light coming on is the (!) brake warning. Missus says its full though, i think maybe the sensor/float has caught the gay. will update at lunch
