Yes the dealing with Death and such is a downer but that can be dealt with by nabbing a couple of Penthrox Whistles for the downtime at home also its not all doom and gloom, paramedics get the chicks, get your high speed driving cert so you get out of those speeding fines when your pulled over alot of the time.
and its not really often you have to out your life on the line unlike the other 2.

The only thing i wouldnt like about being a firey would be the driving. Their trucks are so slow, especially when they are full of water. Quite a few times ive been driving on a double lane rd behind a fire truck with lights and sirens on doing 50 up a hill in a 60/70 zone. I feel bad overtaking it because its supposed to be getting somewhere faster!

haha i remember in the massive hail storm that hit Sydney in 1999 - my mate was at footy training and got hit in the head with a piece of ice the size of a cricket ball. knocked him out cold

Lol, you just reminded me of when I was in high school doin cricket for sport and someone yelled "HEADS", so I looked up to see where the ball was, just in time for it to hit me on the brow.... knocked me out too. Good times!!
