Just had the weirdest experience at the local Shell.
Rocked up and half the staff were out in their fluro vests washing everyones windows... Someone offered to wash mine so i accepted. A few of the staff were actually filling up for some elderly drivers too.
Walked inside to pay and was given a free 'Wicked' energy drink and asked if i wanted my photo taken? I declined that offer.
Not sure what its for but i dont mind if its going to be a regular thing ...im in there most days of the week filling up work cars etc.

They will have to be careful with that promotion because it is due to legal reasons that there is no such thing as a forecourt attendant in metropolitan areas anymore. Very rare in the country also, self serve was not simply a staff downsizing operation.

The free drink and the window washing seems like a nice touch, but please, please, please, please, do not think an oil refining company is giving back to the people. PLEASE.

The multicolored VW is a copy cat version of one of the iconic VW scene cars, and I still think it's cool. There's a place for everything, the scene over there is so deep that we just can't really relate to the new trends. Stance is the next trend here, it's already happening, but we're still five years late to the game compared to the UK.

Fishmonger: I have asked you this elsewhere, but you ignored me.

I have always wondered. Is your name pronounced like "I have an ache in my bum", or is it more like, "I believe the worst president in history was Ike Eisenhower"

How the fork you gunna be pronouncing A - ek? At least I gave examples of words with a similar sound. A homonym by category, but to specify to family would be difficult for me today.

At least I have the common courtesy and decency to get his name right, and produce pronunciation cards for those new to him, before the awkward moment arises.

How weird is the word awkward, it feels... well... awkward.

:D

Just to clarify, no disrespect to you Fisherman. Genuine interest. I always get asked why my name is spelled N-I-K. Thems the breaks for us stars.

I got an E39 530 M-Sport in silver. Spotless all around, some gutter rash on the wheels but apart from that shes perfect. Came with full BMW main dealer service history.
