Auto runs a 90:10 split, true, but rocks to 50:50 when traction is completely broken, so the idea is to head one way doing at least 40/50 clicks, rip up the handbrake and go for a j turn - because it's an auto you need to have the boot well and truly smashed through the firewall before the back end comes completely around, otherwise you will just bog down and snap off to the right/left depending which way you've hooked. The main thing is the approach, too many people try to hook heli's in an auto from a standing start - it ain't going to happen unless it's REALLY slippery and you have a LOT of room, you can see from my videos I usually do it in an area about 8 metres wide.
Also, once the traction is lost under drive, don't keep the wheel on full lock you will just bog down again in the soft stuff when the weight is shifted, let the car dictate how tight the nut is going to be, AWD's are always on a dime.
I am not a race car driver, or someone that knows a lot about that stuff, but I know how to get an OBK sitting in one spot rotating for as long as needs be.
