Welcome to February!
Best known for it's extra day every leap year and Saint Valentine's Day, it is the last month of summer. Its birth flower is the violet (Viola) and the common primrose (Primula vulgaris). Its birthstone is the amethyst, symbolising piety, humility, spiritual wisdom and sincerity. Its zodiac signs are Aquarius (until February 19th) and Pisces (February 20th onwards). Having only 28 days in common years, it is the only month of the year that can pass without a single full moon. This last happened in 1999 and will next happen in 2018.
