I have done a search on here and couldn't find anything so I thought I would start one.
I have been wanting to paint the stock allot wrx wheels on my car for a while now and after doing some research I have found a product in America called plasti dip (https://www.dipyourcar.com) and found you can but it from distributors in Australia (http://www.melbourneprodipping.com/index.html) I am just wondering if anyone has used this product and can give me an idea if it's good, bad or not even to bother about it and go the standard way and just use actual paint?

done some plasti dip its not all that great and its highly toxic so make sure you wear a respirator. most auto barns will sell it and you will most likely need atleast 1 can per wheel.

its okay if your looking for a quick turnback colour change but otherwise stick with paint.

As he said its good for trims and seeing what something would look like without committing to paint. Its shithouse after a few weeks and it can be a pain to peel off if you dont spray it thick enough. If you know what colour you want just go straight for paint. Spend the time on the prep and itll come out 10000000000000000000000000x better than plastidip will

Yup. Plasti-garbage.

There's a neat MCM video where the lads did a spray can job on some wheels and it was a fantastic result. Do that.

Yeah I've seen that video, it just seemed plasti dip would be a lot easier and quicker, now it just sounds like a waste of money. And this is why researching and asking peoples opinions pays off. Thanks for all your input

I'm having wheels resprayed by a shop for $500. Not too much to pay for a pro job.

Exactly. Paid $480 for my STi rims to have gutter marks fixed and painted inside and out.
