I've been meaning to take my brother fishing on it but haven't got around to it. I live on lake Mac and I certainly won't be moving far away, got 5 different boat ramps in different spots within a 5 minute drive so no matter what the weather is doing theirs usually a good spot

Never have owned one, but dad had one or two back in the day.
I know nothing about boats either. I know, helpful.
I can swim though.
I would like to own one one day, but in the meantime, I'm playing with Subarus.

With V8 engines.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

now i have a tinny-run a bout with a 60hp Black Anchor (Merc) altho this used to be our work vessel (Salvaging/ underwater work) so it is not the prettiest thing. just means i dont need to cringe if i hit the boat ramp or sand bar :-P

i used to live on the central coast so we went out in tuggerah lakes all the time, ski'd and hooned around brisbane waters too as we moved to woy woy
and then we moved to forster so i know my way around smiths lake and wallis lake, myall lakes also
used to go fishing all the time but havent lately at all, mainly just go out for a ski, wakeboard etc, the best fun that can be had is just a surfboard behind the boat
also went out a few weekend back into sydney harbour as my uncle just bought a sea ray with a 350 in it, was awesome to get out in sydney harbour as ive never been before, within 10mins of being in the water at drummoyne we were under the harbour bridge

I like wooden boats.
With V8 engines.
I have one that fits both of those criteria:
Photo's from mid to late 70's

Photo from Jan 2000

Stats:
Built by hand 1964 by my grandfather and his brother
Motors:
289 cu in Ford Y Truck engine - not fast enough
318 Hemi with six pack carbs - too hard to tune
Current: 1974 Corvette 350 Chev, 4 bolt main, balanced, blue print, port & polish, twin straight through 2.5" exhaust
Current status: In desperate need of some loving
My brother also has a Williams Walkabout in pieces, in it's former glory:

The important parts: 305 chev, as can be seen in the foreground, in the background is his current distraction.

We're in Nowra, less than 10 mins from the river, no place I'd rather be, well except for a river front property in longreach
Jordan.

My father in law built a luxury 40ft house boat a few years ago. It's a time share thing so there are heaps of owners who take it out for a week during the year. See Riverboat
Pretty fun to go out on for a few days. Putters around Brisbane Water, The Hawksbury and Pitwater

It's also fun to jump off
