Anyone know much about car A/C systems?
Started to drive the Pulsie yesterday when a loud pssssshhhhhh noise happened and a whole bunch of white steamy stuff bellowed out of the engine bay.
No, I didn't plonk a SR20T engine in overnight
I have just gotten the A/C redone with new lines, gas, pumps, etc less than 2 months ago. Found this though -
The other end of the black hose (red) is supposed to be connected to that thing (purple).
Anyone know what may have been expelled when it blew
Called the AC guy and popping around there after work to get it sorted

Thats usually what would escape from an AC systemSo it is the AC gas that escaped?
Other than that there is oil in the Compressor pump.

I converted my first Subie from the old R12 to R134a.
It is highly illegal to knowingly let the gas escape into the atmosphere... R134a is CFC free from memory... Pretty sure you can't get into **** if you have no control over it.
