Might try and change the SSS oil and filter today. Never done this before...

Easy to do Morgz.

Same as you would do the OUTBACK. Just a different spot for the oil filter.

Guys where do you buy the interior light LEDs from?

My interior lights are dull as shitt. I'm guessing I'll need the 2 dome lights, centre roof light, and rear cargo light?

Might have to go buy an oil pan and funnel!

Negative. Ive got boost gauge, controller, K&N air filter and fuel pump en route.

LEDs? Ebay the morgan outta that :P

You'll need festoon bulbs. Take the old ones out to find out the right size..


DIY FTW! Never changed oil on any car before. I like to take it to a mechanic every 10k kms and they'll spot any other issues/leaks, etc that the car might have and they'll ovbiously do an oil change then and there.
I want to do this one myself though...

Had a dream last night someone crashed my car and I ended up buying a Gen1 RS with an EJ257 in it. Richo?

1) undo sump plug and drain oil. Remove oil cap prior.
2) refit sump plug after fully drained.
3) undo oil filter with hand / oil filter wrench.
4a) apply thin layer of oil to fresh oil filter black rubber seal and screw back on.
4) fill her up (that's what she said) with oil.
5) check oil on flat surface and top up if required.

Win.

:D it is good to give it a go Morganator.

Just remember when you put the new oil filter on, a little dab of oil around the rubber ring on the new filter before you tighten it up and do it hand tight, do not try and tighten it with all your might or you will never get the thing off again, the sump plug should be put back in nice and tight but again don't swing off the spanner to the point you are ready to snap the head off the bolt LOL just nice and tight :D.

Put your oil in until it reaches the full mark (small amounts at a time and check the level)... once it is at the full mark, start the car and let it run for like 10 - 15 seconds... turn off and sit for 30 seconds/1 minute then re-check the level... you might need to chuck a tiny bit more oil in because the oil filter will fill and take a bit of oil.

So just FYI, justcar will insure my car, with engine / transmission conversion and all other mods including future mods for $1k per year. Agreed value of $19000.

Not sure mate. Didn't check tbh. I would hazard a guess around the $1.20 mark?
