Didn't he ever get the lib cutting sick nuts ?

Yeah bit different power delivery though.

I also experimented with the dccd tonight, car feels different when coming out of corners but still won't really see a difference till a track day i suppose.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Wait till it rains, with a bit of water on the road the rear end is like a rear wheel drive, especially when you turn into a corner fast, and if you launch a little you'll stay on the spot spinning :)

Fuel pump won't help your DCCD toggle switch.

Shaz MDSC might have been time for some skidz in Nik's paddock (/no homo) but oh well.....

What mods have you done to the car so far?

Mine only has full stainless turbo back exhaust (stock??) cold air intake and oil catchcan and 'unknown' tune.

Already looking into bigger turbo's.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Atm I just have a 3"to 2.5 tbe, silicon intake, fuel pump, and a tune 19.5psi max

But want to get some forged pistons and bigger turbo etc but want to get all the bits together before I do it, and the motor just clicked over 40k so it's still a baby

Ps shaz it hurts my feelings that your still running so little boost :(
Does the turbo even spin at that psi :D

The sti's not come with forged pistons from factory?

Yes, bigger turbo, fuel pump, boost controller and retune are the next on my list. My motor has only just hit 64,000k's so still babyISH......

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

The 2.5 came with semi forged pistons :(
Are you running the stock ecu? I wouldn't run a boost controller just remap the stock Ecu to the boost you want, it's alot more reliable

Yeah i've got the 2.5L.

What's the stock turbo? vf39? And what boost are they good for?

Will maybe look at fuel pump and a quick retune then before changing the turbo.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Vf43
Boost depends on how the tune is, around the 20 is pretty safe just make sure you get someone that knows what they are doing, a few guys on rexnet are tuning around 25psi, I'm not to keen on that with the stock pistons

My bug sti loved 25psi tho :D

Yeah unfortunately a far bit needs to be changed before you whack a big turbo on, some people have done it without any problems yet!! Haha

Shaz.

I'm somewhat concerned you haven't replaced your fuel pump yet, especially seeing how you drive that thing.

You're seriously on your way to detonation city. How big are the injectors on an NA two litre, versus a turbo V3 STi? I know the STi came out with 440cc injectors, and a base pressure of 30psi fuel rail pressure... and they run up to ~15psi. NA run.... zero psi. and pi55y little 280cc injectors.

Change fuel pump. Immediately.

Just to add to this:

V4 EJ20K love to spin bearings.

And the only way she'll spin bearings is due to detonation.

And she'll detonate if she doesn't get enough fuel.

And last time I checked, Walbros are cheaper than replacement EJ20Ks.

And they're cheaper than bearing kits for EJ20k's.

Get the hint?

good.
