More like the collar/thread is full of shit and needs to be cleaned.
Cut off the old collar (IF you can get a replacemet one) and clean the threads.

I had this problem with my old lib teins.. I gave them a good degreasing n scrub with a hard nylon brush then hit the collar with some heat (butane torch)

All H6 luxbacks came with these clusters

To install in a car without the same cluster requires a complete dash loom installed from a car that uses one (ie: not plug and play)

I bought a cluster and complete dash loom from a jdm B4 to fit mine...was not cheap......at.....all :(

First up Stevee, lowback looks sick mate! Good choice...and i wouldnt go offroading with the coilovers lol, they just dont have the same amount of droop as the stock struts

@toson
I have a 03 rx too!! Far from whst it used to be though lol

Recommend? Well theyre an awesome cluster...but as said theyre not cheap, and sometimes hard to find with the dash loom

In the end its up to you? I did it cause theyre chock full of win, but mainly i needed more rev range for the new engine ;)

Recommending and depth of back pocket are different things...

I would definitely recommend it. The DEFI cluster looks friggen awesome it costs a few body parts to make the swap

I had some foreplay with a wallaby on west head, luckily all it did was pop out a fog light cover and folded the number plate back.

Spent about 5 hours mucking around cleaning the car with two mates and their cars today. Gen 4 Outback badge installed.
Tried a Clay Bar, can't say i was overly impressed, did alright on a few spots.

Got mums SLR camera majig and tried to take photos, fluked a few good ones :D

Just realised the badge is not exactly straight, It was a bit of a guess, Anyone can recommend a good double sided tape? The one I used is a bit thin.
