Does this automatically with insurance doesn't it?

Tow truck took our SP20 away and the next time I saw it was on Pickles a few weeks later

Fixed

Not always. Most insurance companies will give you the option to buy the wreck back first. If Ron B gets smashed, i'll buy it back and part it/reshell it into a Gen2/3/OBK/Forester

@Morgan: The option should be there, but these days you need to 'chase it up' with most of them.

I was lucky that I knew the local towie, so he let me rape most of my bits before they picked it up.

Unluckily for me, I am challenged by a Thomas the Tank Engine LEGO set, so I could only get my head unit and wheels.

Nik, we had a similar issue with a dad's mate's Fiat 124 CC coupe that got smashed. We brought his oxy back for him and he took the drivetrain (with some assistance from the towie who "accidentally" let it slip off the side of the tray onto it's side)

I think it's only fair. Even though my accident was deemed an 'incident caused by road conditions' I still had to pay P-plater excesses, which was $1800.

My head unit/speakers (sub woofer was retrieved from a neighbouring farm a few days later....!) and ROH rims/tyres would not equate to that cost anyway.

Damn nature, you scary!

But seriously, I don't need to tell you how lucky you were. The last person I know who lost it at 140 killed themselves and 2 other people in a rather infamous crash (EVLR34)

On the plus side, you got some mad negative camber from it:

The toe-in will hurt handling.

I don't think I'll ever truly appreciate how lucky I was that night. Broken nose and a small amount of facial bleeding.

Sat there for so long trying to start it. Had to run about 8k's to town to find a phone box.

Tried to hail down a car on the highway, they kept driving, I had no idea that my entire face was covered in blood.

Tell you one thing, it has slowed me down. Anyone that's ever been on a post crash cruise with me knows how slow I drive on public roads.

Nik I have had both of those pics on my phone for a while to remind me not to **** around on the road. I dont want to see my car like that with me and my mates inside it.
