I don't actually know all the ingredients to what you have pictured above, but it is exactly what I feel like eating right now.

It's really the bread that makes it, the local baker is just too good at making bread. I'm getting the ingredients together to make these again;

I'm definitely doing a bacon/mushroom/onion/steak/ combo - a potato bake/steak combo (those are pretty much the two pictured) - but I'm wondering if I can't pull off something different? A bit... off the wall?

Any suggestions? I would love to do a long loaf, like a ciabatta, with a whole pork fillet down the centre, sauteed mushrooms/spring onion and a bit of honey, surrounded with pate and pistachio nuts - kind of like a terrine in bread, with prosciutto as the lining....

Here's one; looks like an OK step by step - it's honestly pretty straight forward.

Think that's the right sequence. I can't find the damn thread I made for it last year.

As you can see, I used Brumby's - so I'm mega keen to try it with the Cowie bread!

Maybe after perfecting it over the winter, with Alisha and Brett's help of course, we can do a shooters sandwich lunch at MDSC? Spots are filling up quick!

Yeah, only did the first cuts down here at work because I wanted to take some nice photos and use a really sharp knife. Shared it with all the staff, went down well. Touch dry, that'll all get ironed out this year though!

:)

@Adam: When it's full, it's full. I'm not indulging in alternate accommodation this year. There's pretty much 24 spots in total, but the couple/single break down can drop that number significantly - basically, bring your missus, she'll love it.

Haha, really? It's tradition.
