I have the flag here at work, just the neighbours and myself, last year there was seven of us (I have the largest pole on the street - well, out of the normal people that aren't tycoons living elsewhere!).

I think there's only a couple coming this year, but it's not really how far you go, or what you do, it's the effort of doing anything I reckon.

As Alex said, we wouldn't be able to have people free to whinge and bitch about every single little thing if it weren't for what those that came before us did.
