Should have asked to have a quick look at the car so you could check what you need for this afternoon!

Got da oil and filter and there is some fuel in the shed.
No need for transfer papers it isnt registered, just get her to sign a bit of paper saying that i bought it. With Vin and shit on it.

Dont think i will need much else. Just clean it up and check everything over then next pay (Thursday) buy whatever i need.

Take some before and after shots. Not sure how it works in Canada but I think they usually ask how much you paid for the car etc.

No worries bro, I'm sure you have your permit of movement for the unregistered vehicle as well.

:)

QLD... You are allowed to drive a vehicle on the road that is unregistered/roadworthy up to 50M from your house, it counts as "testing". Driving to and from the motor vehicle registry and the place that your getting a roadworthy from is also allowed without a permit.

The mazda is 2 houses up the road ;)

Looked it all up earlier this week.

I wasn't sure about any other state so I was being specific so nobody comes and cries at me like they usually do.

Gonna be sweet.

I thought it might be close, considering you walked there, was it a left or right turn out of the driveway?

Is the car actually de-registered officially, or is it 'out of rego'?

Where did you get the 50m thing from?

WA are not receptive to unregistered vehicles at all!

Same in Vic.

Must have a permit, no unregistered vehicles are allowed on the road.

At least they reviewed the Historic Permit scheme and applied some common sense. You can now drive any day you like up to a maximum of 90 days within 12 months.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Right out of the drive way.
I think its just out of rego, but nothing showed up on the revs check, like no number plate or anything.
Mate of mine found it on the qld transport site i saw it but i couldnt find it again, the local cops wont give a Posted Image.
WA cops are pricks.

When dad and i drove the unregistered commodore home when i bought it, explained the situation and they were fine with it, let us off not even a warning.

WA traffic cops are definitely not my favourite breed of human. Never really worried me before, because generally I was doing something wrong, but the way I've seen some things go down over the last few years has been ridiculous. Alisha getting the demerit + $100 fine for flashing high beams, when they had their high beams on coming towards us, was just plain wrong. That is SURELY a warning offence, especially for such a young, mild mannered driver.

If she didn't physically go to the (TMR I think you call it?) and deregister it, I think it's just considered 'out of rego'. I wonder if that makes a difference when you come to getting it back on the road?

Hope she fires up sweet for you, mate!

In NSW you get three months out of rego before you need to get a blueslip (if you don't get a safety check in that time frame which lasts for one month)

After three months someone comes and stabs you?

In Sydney, yes..... but they are a bit random with that and they may invoke the stabbing at an earlier date.
