Just in case you're still wondering Adam, the idea of a pressure cooker is that you can cook in water/steam at a temperature far exceeding boiling point, something like 130deg?? I think they generally run at about 14/15psi. The biggest case for it is time saving, the secondary, probably worth noting, is that due it being a completely sealed vessel - you don't lose any nutrients like you would by open cooking something.


Far out why did I type all that... go here Adzy. Make note that a 15psi or over cooker is a worthy choice, something lower you might find frustratingly close to your normal cooking times.
