So I'm getting sick of having a auto in my 2002 B4 and I was wondering how hard it is to change it to a manual
and what else i might need to do so? Has anyone else done it or have a link to one thats been done

Alexxx did it to his gen2 wagon long ago, and I looked into doing it to a GT I was considering buying. It's a pretty big job, since you need the gearbox, pedal box, driveshafts (depending on what gearbox you're going with), prop shaft, diff. You also need to do some wiring trickery to stop the ECU from whining at you about the missing gearbox.

Most likely it'd be cheaper and easier to just sell the auto and get a manual, since B4s aren't exactly rare.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

not 100% but i think the gen 3 runs a separate TCU for the auto so the standard ECU should be ok after the manual conversion
