Resizing a couple of photos for Dad of the 'investment property' that's now completed up in Perth (was meant to be a Perth accommodation for the family... but... mining companies are pretty keen for rooms... so it's now rented out!).
It's pretty much all rented by different mining companies, already. It seems as though the joint was designed for it...
Pool/BBQ (one of two)

Outdoor screen, they specifically said 'sporting events'

And so, the great divide between the haves (Mining industry workers) and the have nots (everyone else) in WA increases at full steam ahead.
Seriously, to secure the rooms they were literally offering over asking rent by $100 and the real estate only had to knock it back once (she's done about 26 or so to this same company) and they threw another $50 a week at it.
The money is incomprehensible to me.
There's also going to be two restaurants, a bar, a 7/11 type dealy... it's like a nice hotel or something.

I wouldn't be too worried about your roadworthy (rego?) check Adam.
From what I have seen it would appear that 'good enough is close enough' in NSW.
Our friends have their car passed each year with no heater connected!
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

I am curious to know what percentage of people in WA are involved directly in the mining industry.
I know there is around ninety thousand in the mining work force, but unsure as to how that relates to WA itself.
I'd say a fair percentage.

Couple it with the fastest increasing population in the country, I think we nearly racked up a 3% rise over the last 12 months (ARGH!) and it's all happenin' in the west!

It's an apartment complex on the river edge of the CBD. I thought the same when Mum took me to see it last time I was in Perth. It's like a long stay accommodation for mining execs and what not. So many massive projects starting this year and next in WA, they all have head offices in Perth CBD, so this will be for those people. Pretty crazy mang.
So I was specifically built for mining accom?

I must get the honest mechanics then

Today is the last day to fix everything up. I left it to the last day, what an Idiot!

The roll on effect is pretty crazy. Busiest domestic airport in Australia by far these days. Who'd have thunk it!?

So I was specifically built for mining accom?
They've not out and out said it, but walking around, and seeing just how many apartments have already been rented to different mining co's it's fairly obvious.
Pretty sweet time to be building a project like this, there's a shed load going up in Perth right naaooo.

No one because it isn'tBusiest domestic airport in Australia by far these days. Who'd have thunk it!?

From the department of infrastructure and transport

In April 2012, Sydney remained Australia’s busiest domestic airport with 2.02 million passengers movements, followed by Melbourne with 1.81 million passenger movements and Brisbane with 1.36 million passenger movements.
From what I can find it appears that about 6% of WA's population are working in the minining industry! that is a pretty big percentage reallu.

That place is the epitome of PIMP.
The actual apartment is finished off very nicely, but it's also very small. The biggest room aside from central living is the balcony! 2bdr, but you'd consider it a 1bdr I reckon.
