Anyone here tried colour matching a Subaru with 14L paint code? I am relatively happy with the colour match he did but it seems to have a tad too much pearl in certain light - it could need a couple weeks to settle down maybe.. the paint isn't like that more purple Gen3 colour. 4 days till he gets to have another go at it. If he f's it up this time its going elsewhere. It isn't the money that worries me, its the lies
I found so many corners cut, but its not the worst job I have seen.. my mates WRX takes the cake on that but was like it when bought.
Been looking at pictures of people that have fitted aftermarket bumpers and it seems to be a common colour match issue, tad too much purple pearl in the new paint.
Metallics in general are hard to match. Black can be especially hard. It's it really anything to do with the mixing of the colour. The paint could be mixed perfectly to the code and still look different on the panel. Its got to do with the way the paint is applied. 4 different painters produced 4 separate looking colours using the exact same metallic paint at a <insert paint repair company name> conference. It was all done to their individual technique. There isnt any pearl in that colour btw. It's just different metallic flake. Ie gold flame or blue flake or red flake etc.
Sig worthy.

No problemo! FWIW I run the 4300k in my main beam, not perfectly white, but bright enough.

Yeah same!
I'm hoping the 3000ks make a good difference in my driving lights. I get to drive in some 1m visibility situations some times!
Last year, going to the snow, it was like that for a good 1-2 hrs.
Plus it was like -6 and the windscreen was freezing up! Even with the heat turned all the way up!! Was so hot in the car haha!
Had icicles forming off everything too! Was pretty cool

The people that actually have real power, are more than happy to have someone perceived to be borderline crazy up on the bench. He appears to be taking some strong leads from American politics.
He's a fairly hardcore religious nut!
