Happy Birthday Nikosaurus.

That ass scene in Chuck and Larry is epic.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

New development in the body work issue, called in as he requested to look at it and confirm Monday's appointment - he lost his shit when he saw he would have to redo every part again. He is giving me my money back because I am being 'pedantic'. Going in there tomorrow to pick the money up because he didn't have enough on him at the time.

"You have no idea the work that went into that bumper!" Posted Image you stop being a sook you fix smashed cars, why can't you fix a damn bumper with some stone chips and a spoiler with sun damage.

Drove up the road to the guy that does all the insurance work in our area - booked in for monday.

What a mang. That's pretty poor form.

I had to go back 3 times to get dodgy repairs fixed from when I had the accident in my Liberty. Each time they were apologetic (even though they always blamed the insurance company because they prefer to use used parts instead of new??) but if I wasn't happy, they'd fix it up.

So can razor blades, if you're EXTREMELY careful, and have a steady hand.

Yes full refund - otherwise I will be taking it higher up. He is a nice guy, just.... Posted Image'ing sucks at his job on modern cars.

And yes that is basically what he said. Overspray was as thick as it is on the spoiler - poor tape cut corners job - I started with 600grit and went down to 2000grit, then plastic polished it. Took me all of 30min. Pics downloading now, will resize and upload in next post.

Painting is painting, no matter what the car.

I would have thought a classic owner would be more picky than you!

If he did it as an insurance job, he would get raped!

That is just the thing, he opened the shop as an alternative to the big warehouse style place in the next suburb (where its going next week, usually more expensive), the work was good a few years ago, but after this - I hope he goes out of business. He does do insurance work, but Posted Image it if I ever get recommended his place. The other place is where I got the rear bumper fixed last year through AAMI, they are the approved repairer for all the big names in the area, just a further drive and more expensive for personal stuff.

Yahhhh

Ended up getting new parts in the end so it's all good!

Turns out the second hand bar they originally used had been in a previous accident and was warped to start with! No wonder the paint started cracking 6 months after the repair job!

You guys are too fanatic with spiffy paintjobs.
