Just got back from getting my refund. This morning he was full of excuses. Apparently he feels that the job should have been over a grand because the colour was too hard to match (for him) and the fittings were too brittle from the heat of the motor. Oh yeah and he reckons car enthusiasts are the worst kind of car people, and that I was just getting too pedantic for him. The amount he quotes shouldn't determine the quality of the work, just the extent of the work.

You guys have seen the issues with it - the colour wasn't what I was angry at him for, it was the poor workmanship. He is also scared I am going to tarnish his name "you can't go showing other people my work, and saying its shit", "you probably wont even get it fixed now because you got it for nothing". LOL WTF BBQ, if it was of any kind of standard on my car we wouldn't be at this point. But anyway, back to square one, its booked in elsewhere for monday...

After seeing the photos you took on a proper sized screen as opposed to the phone, I think you are well within your rights to feel substandard work was done. The paint was bubbling ffs. There was nothing pedantic about it. Fix it properly and there's no issue. What a douche.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money.
