I insured my car the other day, for an agreed value of $19000! I told them I bought it for $14k, and they said I got a really good deal, and this was the market value.
Winning.
Yay! Pay more each year on an inflated evaluation............ALMOST SMELLS LIKE HISTORY

Haha I've had that conversation so many times. I've come to the conclusion I'm good at finding cheap cars!
Black SP20
Bought $8000 and insured for $12,900
Silver SP20
Bought $7500 and insured for $10,500
XT
Bought $16,250 and insured for $20,000
Can't remember the others
When I was on the phone to AAMI after picking up the black SP20, I asked how much cheaper the premium would be if it was insured for less. It was only like $40 cheaper so I kept it at the full market value.
Then we flipped it.

Yeah, I asked them if I could just insure it for $14k, as thats what I paid, to bring the premiums down, and they told me that they were unable to do that, and $19k was the lowest.
