I hate the mentality as much as the next bloke, but I also think the negative ideas we carry are doing us more harm than good. Instead of embracing segregation, how 'bout putting your hand out and making the 'others' feel a bit more like they can join in the community.

I know by in large the Muslim population, hell, almost MORE SO, the Asian migrants, appear to want to keep to themselves. I myself have whinged about that.

Are we approaching this wrong? Is that how it always has to be? Do they have to change? Or can we make the change first?

It's hard for me, being in SW.WA, but having our chef here, who spent four years in Sydney prior to coming here, has opened my eyes a bit. The other side to the story so to speak.

I has a love for shooting, haven't done it in years though. Dads father was a competition shooter and Mums Dad loved his guns, he did a fair bit of hunting years ago. I guess it is a nostalgic thing.
