I did. I think Cowboys got shafted in terms of some of the calls made by the refs, but, I still think Manly deserved the win regardless.

agreed. Manly played better on the night, however i still think there were some horrible calls that went against North Queensland especially in the second half.

Rugby appears to be a game in which the outcome can actually be effected by the ref's? I'm used to Football and Basketball, where you piss and moan about it, but it's a VERY VERY VERY rare day that a bad call changes the outcome.

Yeah, the introduction of video refs has made more trouble then its worth.

They are trying to get explayers on as video refs now, but I think they should bin them altogether.

Mark - The Jorge Taufua try where he fell up short of the line, and was pushed across it probs shouldn't have been a try, as it was momentum, and the one where Foran went up in the air against Thurston, and knocked it forward to Cherry-Evans which resulted in a try, really looked like it came off Forans hand, not Thurstons.

Video replay in AFL is getting stupid already, it's only in its first year. It's amazing watching late nineties footy reruns, they play 'em all day on Fridays, game probably didn't 'flow' as quick as it does now, but it was a better game back then.

Yeah, I was watching some of the 1989/early ninetys games, and they were so much better. Heaps more punch ones too, which was awesome. None of this being banned for 5 games crap, it was more have a punch on, finish the game, then go have a beer with the bloke you punched on with and have a laugh about it.

i dont think either should have been trys really. you think with video refs they would be able to spot these things but apparently not.

Video refs and all this technology has just seemed to create more problems than anything else. all the different camera angles and being able to go right down into super slow motion just seems to hinder the decision making, they take 3 times as long to make a decision, got to watch it from every angle at every speed 3 times, and then they still seem to not be able to get it right.
