As many of you may already know, the KE70 has been passed onto Jordishore from on here. Whilst it was a great car, and unbreakable, it lacked the everyday comforts required for a daily commute, such as power anything, and an engine bigger then a pushbike.
Anyway, after weeks of scouring cars, a few hundred in vehicle checks, and government record checks and whatnot, I finally went out to Arncliffe, in Sydney, and picked up a mint 1 owner, 2000 R34 Skyline GTT, in black, with only 70,000kms.
First impressions of the car are good. Feels solid. Makes good power, and off-the-shelf upgrades are readily available. There is PLENTY of R&D floating around about what upgrades work best with what supoporting mods, which is great.
So, the car is relatively stock at the moment. I went and drove and saw many very modified cars, but they all felt to me that they were rather shoddily put together, and you got the "This bloke has just slapped this turbo on and done heaps of skids" feeling from most of them. I opted for a stock one, so that I could accurately measure increases in power and whatnot as I went, and as many of you know, the whole "Built not bought" is a big thing for me. So yeah, here we go.
Mods:
17" Work CR-Kais in bronze.
HKS Supper Dragger Cat-Back Zorst
AAR Drivers Bucket Seat (Possibly the most comfortable seat i've ever sat in in a car)
Clarion Bluetooth/iPod headdeck.
Paint, while standing a few feet away looks to be in great condition, however, close up inspections show that it has had a very hard life. Someone who clearly have NFI what they were doing has buffed the whole car, causing lots of scratches and swirlmarks in the paint.
Future Plans:
3" Dump and mid section of exhaust
Coilovers/Swaybars/Links/Camber Arms.
Nistune ECU + Z32 MAF + Splitfire Coils.
Highflow standard turbo, with steel wheel capable of holding more boost then 12psi.
East Bear Z-Tune Front bar, side skirts, rear bar, spats and wing.
Tint
Pics:

After a claybar, scratch treatment, polish/wax (All with black T-Cut products)

Should be hopefully heading up Newcastle way this Saturday to pick up some Ohlins Coilovers, as the ride height is similar to that of a Landcruiser at the moment, and is no good.
Cheers,
Shazza
