As much as i'd love to stick a motor in it that i need to cut the bonnet in half to fit it'll be staying relatively stockist. maybe 5L injected motor from an early commy, i dunno yet.

Plan is to get it blue slipped, then drive it for a while and get a list of everything i dont like about it, then fix/change it so im happy.

Ideally i wanna end up with something reliable, fun to drive, will happily tow a wake boat or car float long distances, and after a quick detail will look good in an old car show :)

Jaaase does anyone make decent replica HZ GTS gaurds? And is there any old car stuff happening down your way around xmas time?

Mark, As above Rares or Kingswood country. Their stuff is getting closer to OEM but the true concourse nutcase can pic the repro stuff. For a neat streeter it's fine.

Bit quiet over Christmas but IIRC there is a street meet at Knox shopping centre carpark on the second Tuesday of each month over summer. There is a rumor it was closed down but as I haven't been in ages I'll have to check. I believe there is one similar over near Thomastown (Queanbyan??) but I'd have to check on that one too.
Just Holden magazine do a meet at their headquarters in Bundoora, the next one is Dec 15th but there has been little word on it from the insiders.

Get down here on Valentines weekend (nohomo) for the Hanging Rock run. Over 2000 cars.

Jase, you may have already heard, but Ford have licensed rare spares as an official restoration parts supplier, they have given them the original drawings and toolings (whatever they had) to reproduce parts as close to the original shiz as possible. XK to XC I think they are covering.

Nice! Tripod mount is awesome. Opens up DIY mount possibilities! 1/4" unc bolt and away you go! (I think)

The black is still in super high demand

How goods that video?! ^ haha
