Dad and I went car hunting today. Went for my first ride in Gen5 (dealer took us up the road to another yard), I was impressed at how well it went for a 2.5 (its enormous) but its just a cavernous plastic mess, massive fail on the finish, they must have got tupperware to help out with the materials. Damn some cars have a cheap feel to them now.

Nevermind, it's just the dimentia kicking in early.







Adam,
VX is a solid reliable car and the Calais will have all the safey gear in it too.
One thing to look out for is oil in the coolant, sure sign the inlet manifold gasket has karked it. They all do it, but it's an easy fix though.
Mines coming up for gasket number 3.

Expect 12-15l/100 around town but it will drop to low 8's on the highway.

Most of our driving is highway anyway which is sweet!

Comfy as car to cruise in. And clean as. Will take some pics just to show cleanness
