They are simple.

Are you going to leave the gearbox in the car?

I think so, I don't have a hoist and my jack/stands wont let me lower it out the bottom so I figured just split em and pull it out with a crane.

Ya reckon? Or still pull the box out with it? (p.s it's auto)

Leave the box in.

Just make sure you push the convertor back and leave it in the box.

Check you have enough room at the front of the motor for the drive plate to clear the bellhousing.

Don't you know a bloke with a 4 post hoist you can use?

:P

I thought you just used storm drains to get under the car.

Jase, maybe, I would have to have another look.. the overhead shut off thing looks familier as do the yellow arms..... its a big one, had it installed so that he could do pantechs and motorhomes... It seems like a solid hoist. When it was installed the concrete was not thick enough so they had to get backhoe in and dig out a section of old concrete and pour a new slab that is about a foot thick.

lol. Supercharges ute, doesn't understand the laws of physics. That thing isn't getting off the line in a hurry, and will likely land backwards in a tree. Yeah nah STi.

Dad put a deposit on a V6 Accord, damn things hoon, and handle pretty respectable! Dad's driven Holden most of his driving life. VE Calais felt cheap, lacked features he wanted.
