So I've just been down to the auto-shop (not Repco/SuperCrap Auto) and the helpful guy down there recommended I use Meguiars products (click HERE for website) and lets just say I dont think i'll be using any other product from now on.

I bought the Meguiar's 'Hot Shine' tire coating and also the Rich Leather Foam products and I have to say they work awesomely, very impressed indeed! Leather seats look like new!

Anyone else have any good or bad experiences with certain brands of car-cleaning/car-care products?

Are you religious with a particular brand?

- Alex

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I've used Meguiars Products for years just out of sheer marketing ignorance. I thought it was the ducks guts.

Until I tried Mothers.

Mothers is fantastic. I absolutely love it. I use everything of theirs except tyre shine. I just use the Valvolene stuff that smells like citrus. Works just as well as the Meguiars $20 a can stuff, only its $7 a can ;)

I've recently found something better than Mothers.

I'll second Alex (the not odeo alex) motion. Mothers is probably the best manufacture of these goods that you'll get outside of the refinnishing/detailing industries. Meguiers is very good stuff, don't get me wrong. But for me the ease of use that the Mothers brand provides makes it shine in my view.

Likewise, but replace "Mothers" with Turtle Wax :) Excellent products for exterior and interior. Mothers is also very good.

Meguiars does seem good due to their marketing. The tyre shines are the best out there although the Endurance Shine is a b*tch to apply....

I use Meguiars leather foam personally. Seats always come up quite nicely after a good dosing.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

I have this too, but i find it goes patchy, losing the gloss when its sat on or touched.
