Had a pretty tiring end to the week though.
Wednesday shift was 2pm-1am
Thursday was 8am-6pm
I had to fit travel home Wednesday night, sleep, and travel ( by train) into work Thursday morning, into 7 hours!
The we had 8 hours of training about our Boiler. Glad to have done the training but boilers aren't the most interesting subject. Feel a lot better about the use of our boiler now though.
So yesterday was tough. The two hours of analysis work and shutdown after the training was draining.
Had a couple of pints after work then jumped on the train to go home. Fell asleep on the freo line and woke up just before Oats st on the armadale line! Fuuuuuu took about another hour to get home. It was raining pretty hard by the time I got to my station, so pulling on the inlines and skating home wasn't an option. Had to walk 20 minutes in the rain. Haha oh well.
Sig worthy.

Dad is OK, and the other bloke was too. Asian guy. I don't know the full story yet as I just made sure that dad was OK and wanted to see what was wrong with the car, but I'll let you know later when he gets home. All I know is that the other guy was in the wrong and dad will be going to the police station to report it even after the Asian guy said it was his fault.Ouch Garry!
I'm guessing everyone is ok?
Pics of carnage?
Here are some pics:

No more VY Berlina.

Airbag was triggered, wheels are straight but steering wheel is turned, and dad had a look at the undercarriage, not the best. Pretty sure it's going to be written off.

Would it be worthwhile trying to keep it and sell it for parts or no? That's if it is going to be a guaranteed write off.

There's a few on here with VY's.. so maybe they could need parts.Would it be worthwhile trying to keep it and sell it for parts or no? That's if it is going to be a guaranteed write off.
Do you know the full story?
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Also, drivers side rear door trim. Wonder if they're different between Berlina/Calais

I'm pretty sure they are man. The Berlina has full leather interior, and I'm pretty sure the only difference between the Berlina and the Calais are the performance upgrades.
Not yet. He gave me a brief summary but I'd rather hear the full story before telling it.There's a few on here with VY's.. so maybe they could need parts.

It is.Bummer

Bought one the other day brand new from Holden but they charged me $43!!!! It's a flipping bolt!!!
Needed it urgently though because Kt's cousin is borrowing the car while we're OS and she is pregnant with 2 kids. Another would be handy though...

There are a few trim differences between the Berlina/Calais and even more between series I/series II...
The speaker grille in mine is broken in that rear drivers side door trim... Just one of those little things that I'll replace with the parts come up

I just wanted to ensure it was worthwhile... If it's a waste of time and if it's hard to get rid of bits and pieces then we won't bother bringing it home. I'll talk to dad about it. I wouldn't mind taking it all apart and selling pieces bit by bit, then getting a couple of hundred for whatever is left to the wreckers.

That would be your best bet. Or the LS1 forum. You never know. I could always post it up on Just Commodores or something. There is bound to be people interested. It doesn't look like a massive knock so even the engine and other components might be in good condition...

Well if you do decide to part it, dibs on the spoiler, door panel (if it's the right colour/trimming) and the child anchor point
