Thanks man... much appreciated.. I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to the door cards coming off and pulling out speakers, but I would be keen to give it a go sometime... just got to buy some decent speakers from somewhere too... 6" should be the right size...

I also think I'm going to take you advice, and consider installing the nexus tablet in the car... would be awesome to have it in there, and have it removable too... but that will be in the future... speakers in doors first I guess...

Zac, make sure when you change the speakers, if you want good sound then make sure you sound deaden the doors.
